    • 8th March – Rocky Bottoms opens for the season. Fresh crab and lobster, caught that morning overlooking the sea at East Runton.

    • 8th March – Holkham Hall – an evening with of wild talk with the earl of Leicester and his conservation team.

    • 10th March - Holkham Hall - mothers day afternoon tea.

    • National gardens scheme kicks off East Ruston Old Vicarage East Ruston.

    • 14th March – candlelight night – the best of hans zimmer at the Assemby House in Norwich.

    Happy Huts at Wells – opens for the season, rent a beach hut for the day on one of Norfolks finest beachs.

    • 27th March – Pensthorpe Nature Reserve – discover bird watching – an all-day course.

  • April

    • 1st April easter Monday meet at Fakenham racecourse.

    • 21st April - Houghton Hall opens its annual exhibition featuring the work of …. Antony Gormley: time horizon the first time these 100 life size sculptures have been seen in the UK

    • 26th April – Pensthorpe Nature Reserve – discover bird song calls – an all-day course

    • Late April & early may – Blickling Estate bluebell walk.

    • 5th April – Friday and Saturday night Italian evenings open at Wiveton Hall Cafe.

  • May

    • 10 – 26th May – Norwich Festival – a celebration of the arts – classic and contemporary music, circus, cabaret, literature, dance, film and more in a variety of sites including the amazing Spiegel tent.

    • 12th May Houghton Hall – annual exhibition of work by ceramic artist Magdalene Odundo opens. Dates: sunday12 may – Sunday 29 September 2024

    • 12th May – Mannington Estate – the little vintage lovers fair.

    • 26th May – Sandringham Pageant of Motoring.

    Norfolk Open Studios - more than 100 Norfolk sculptors, painters, printers and other artists host their open studios event from Saturday May 25th to Sunday June 2nd 2024.

    • 26th May (tbc) tug of war on the green at Heydon, one of the prettiest Norfolk villages, with folk music, a great pub & wonderful tea room.

  • June

    • 15th June – Holkham garden and outdoor living fair in the walled garden.

    • Every Wednesday & Sunday from April Canoe Man/ Norfolk broads – drift down the river bure from Buxton on a canoe or sup with the canoe man. The broads are known for their wildlife, including swans, kingfishers, herons and even otters.

    • 12 & 17th June – Pensthorpe, butterfly & dragonfly walk.

    • 22nd June – academy of St Thomas, annual midsummer concert at Salle Church.

    • 26/27 June – Royal Norfolk Show.

    • 30th June - Swannington Open Gardens.

  • July

    • 13th July – Holt Arts Festival.

    Visit the broads on a boating trip.

    • 27/28 July - Blakeney Regatta and Greasy Pole Challenge.

    • Seal trips take a boat out to see the seals from Morston one of the largest seal colonies in the UK. The common seal pups from late June to the end of August.

    • Norfolk beach days – explore the 84 miles of Norfolk coastline and big skies.

    • 21st August - Hamlet outdoor theatre Holkham Hall & 28th august Beauty & The Beast.

    • 2nd – 11th August - Wells Carnival.

    • 31st August/ 1 September - Holkham Hall - North Norfolk Food & Drinks Festival.

  • September

    • 7/8 September – Sandringham Game and Country Fair.

    • 13th September – Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, creatures of the night, after dark discovery of owls, bats and moths.

    • 21/22 September – Holt & Sheringham 1940’s weekend. First held 22 years ago as a one-off event, the 1940s weekend has since grown beyond all expectation, attracting people from all over the country and spreading.

    • 23rd September to 8th October – Norfolk Open Studios.

  • October

    • 26/27th October – Blakeney Quay – end of season fireworks display.

    Visit the market in Norwich – 189 stalls of crafts, food and gifts, one of the oldest markets in the country.

    • 30th October – Green King Race Day at Fakenham.

  • November

    • 8th November – Thursford Christmas Spectacular, largest festival event outside the west end.

    • 15/16/17th November – Sandringham Christmas craft food & gift fair.

    • 27th November – Pensthorpe Nature Reserve – discover winter ducks & evening roosting.

  • December

    • Bird watching - Norfolk is regarded as perhaps the best country for birdwatching. The Norfolk coast is a great place for waders and wintering birds of prey, including merlin, peregrine and hen harrier, and you can see them best at dusk at places such as RSPB Titchwell Marsh.

    • Christmas at Blickling House National Trust.

    • Carols by candlelight at Norwich Cathedral.

    • 22nd December – Christmas race meet at Fakenham racecourse.

    • And.. New Years Day fireworks at Cromer Pier.
